New Resolution Designates September 26 as National Mesothelioma Awareness Day
On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution that designated September 26 as National Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Beginning in 2011, September 26 will now be set aside to raise awareness for the rare cancer mesothelioma. The bill was introduced and pushed through the House by Representative Betty McCollum of Minnesota. Since this is a national resolution, it won’t need to be renewed every year.
